Famous Petralona Cave with its fossilised findings is one of the first destinations you will come across when heading to Kassandra peninsula. Nea Moudania follows, while shortly after that you will reach Potidea canal, a short bridge that will allow you to look upon Thermaikos Gulf and Toroneos Gulf at the same time.
Crossing over to the eastern side of the leg you will soon find Afytos, also known as Athytos, a picturesque village with cobbled streets, that excellently combines beauty, art and tradition. Lastly, just before Paliouri you will arrive at Glarokavos, a sandy beach with shallow waters, ideal for relaxing with a view of the lagoon dotted with fishing caiques.
Naturally, there is more to Chalkidiki than the beaches. In the middle of the leg the mountain hamlet of Kassandrinos sits amid the vibrant natural landscape, adding new panoramic views to your trip. Cobbled streets, warm smiles and the plane tree in the village square will offer you a traditional holiday full of hospitality.
On the western side of the leg the first and most popular destination is Sani.
