Skioni
Skioni, also known as Nea Skioni, is a small village on the southern tip of Kassandra on the west side of the leg. It got its name from ancient Skioni which is just a few kilometres from the hamlet’s present location. History has it that the city’s story began shortly after the Trojan war and that it is the oldest colony in Halkidiki.
At present, it is a picturesque seaside hamlet that is known for its clean Blue Flag beaches. You can choose a place to stay along its coast. It has everything from maisonettes to luxury villas with a personal swimming pool and a stunning view of the sea to offer. Skioni’s gorgeous, expansive beaches will most assuredly provide you with dreamy sunsets against the sea.
In the village harbour and along its coast you will see fishing caiques, fishing boats and vessels for one-day excursions to nearby destinations. The seaside white chapel of Panagia Faneromeni is a landmark in the area. If you head south, you will come across the renowned Agia Paraskevi hot springs, which have modern spa facilities, providing an essence of luxury and relaxation to your holidays.
